HASTELLOY C2000 (Alloy C2000, 2.4675, UNS N06200)

Hastelloy C-2000 is resistant to a wide range of abrasive chemicals including sulfuric, hydrochloric and hydrofluoric acids by addition of Copper to the Nickel-Chromium-Molybdenum system. The high chromium content provides good oxidizing resistance while the Molybdenum and Copper composition provides excellent corrosion resistance.

HASTELLOY C2000 BASIC FEATURES

Hastelloy C2000 A Ni-Cr-Mo material containing copper with outstanding resistance to sulfuric acid

The Hastelloy C-2000 alloy (UNS N06200) is unique in the addition of copper between versatile nickel-chromium-molybdenum materials. This provides enhanced resistance to sulfuric acid. It also has a high resistance to oxidizing chemicals. It has a high chromium content to maximize its resistance to environments contaminated with ferric ions and dissolved oxygen.

Like other nickel alloys, the Hastelloy C2000 is ductile, easy to shape and weld, and the stress in chloride bearing solutions has exceptional durability against corrosion.

Hastelloy C2000 can withstand a wide range of oxidizing and non-oxidizing chemicals and exhibits outstanding resistance to pitting and crack attack in the presence of chlorides and other halides.

Hastelloy C-2000 alloy is available in plate, sheet, strip, billet, rod, wire, pipe, tube and welding electrode. It is widely used in chemical processing industry.

HASETLLOY C2000 WELDING AND MACHINING

Hastelloy C-2000 alloy is suitable for Gas Metal Arc (GMA / MIG), Gas Tungsten Arc (GTA / TIG) and Shielded Metal Arc (SMA / Stick) welding processes.

The hammered products of the Hastelloy C2000 alloy are supplied in the Annealed condition unless otherwise indicated. This solution is designed to make the annealing procedure best suited to the corrosion and ductility of the alloy. After all hot forming processes, the material is re-annealed to recover the optimum properties.
