MONEL 400 (ALLOY 400) GENERAL FEATURES:

The Monel 400 can only be shaped as cold. Monel 400 (Alloy 400) is used in sea water and many other corrosive environments due to its high corrosion resistance.

Main Uses valves, pumps, pumps and propeller shafts, seawater luminaires, electrical and electronic components, sea water and chemical processing equipment. From pure water to non-oxidized acids, salts and alkalis

It has high corrosion resistance up to a wide variety of seawater and chemical environments. Monel 400 is more resistant to nickel under reducing conditions and is more resistant than copper under oxidizing conditions.

Monel 400, Good mechanical properties up to 480 degrees. They exhibit high resistance to sulfuric and hydrochloric acids. Monel 400 can be used to process hydrochloric acid, but the presence of oxidizing salts is largely accelerate the corrosive attack. It is resistant to neutral, alkali and acid salts, but shows weak resistance to oxidizing acid salts such as iron chloride. Monel 400 Chloride ion offers excellent resistance to stress corrosion cracking.
